APPLICATION HIGHLIGHTS:

Zirconia materials exhibit extraordinary corrosion resistance over wide temperature ranges. In many applications they survive where most other materials, notably metals, fail after a short period of time. The ability to polish the zirconium oxide to a high finish coupled with its corrosion resistance and hardness makes it highly resistant to cavitation wear. The high finish extends the time before the onset of cavitation and the hardness and corrosion resistance minimize its effect. Furthermore, the hardness and toughness contribute to extended service life in erosive environments typical of solid and slurry transport and handling.
